Ah, Vienna! Do you know when you visit a place and you automatically feel like you belong there? It’s one of those rare cities where it’s new but never strange or unfamiliar. You feel you’re one with the people (aside from the whole language thing, ha – but even in Vienna that doesn’t seem to be a large issue!). Do you have a city that makes you feel that way? I felt that with Boston before I moved. That’s how I feel about Vienna now. A city I automatically felt perfectly comfortable in and could spend every day walking through and feel like I’m seeing and experiencing something new.
Soon I found myself browsing the Engel & Volkers shop windows, checking out rent prices for an apartment a few doors down from your little home away from home and it feels totally normal. It’s such a romantic city and until I started dating an Austrian I didn’t have Vienna on my radar so much – how foolish of me! I’m excited to show you Vienna from my eyes and I hope you get all the same warm fuzzy feelings I felt during my time in this magnificent city.

In this post, I wanted to show the quieter, slower side of Vienna. Minimal people, which can be hard to capture in such bustling cities! And as international as Vienna may appear, it has such a unique pace that allows you to roam the streets and even with people all around you, you’re just so entranced by what you’re walking into! Vienna is the last place on my Austrian series so far but I will have to break it up into multiple posts – it simply can’t be done properly in one. I will also share some of my favorite interior experiences and some of my favorite shots from Lukas and I’s romantic photoshoot. Too many photographs, so many experiences, all gorgeous. Let’s consider this just the introduction!
I’m also beyond excited to share a very exciting project I’m working on for Bexpeditions! It’s in development right now as we build content for it but I hope it will be very helpful for all of you when we launch it. Stay updated with my Postcard Club to hear about its release! Yay!
